Compatibility

Best with heavy‑duty foil on an Egyptian‑style bowl. Most HMDs sit loosely on handmade bowls; if you prefer an HMD, test the fit before heating.

Setup

• Use heavy‑duty foil stretched tight; poke even holes across the surface.

• Start with 2–3 natural cube coals; rotate and space to manage heat.

• Leather‑style hoses aren’t washable; silicone hoses can be rinsed and air‑dried.

Maintenance & care

• Rinse the stem and base after sessions; dry thoroughly before storage.

Troubleshooting

• Harsh flavour: remove or space coals; repack bowl with a lighter touch.

• Tight draw: check water level and ensure the hose and bowl grommets are sealing correctly.

• Air leaks: inspect base‑to‑stem and bowl seals; replace grommets if needed.

• Wobble on table: ensure the base protector is seated flat under the glass base.
