A note on copper

Copper is a living material. You can polish it regularly to keep the new-penny brightness, or let it patina for a vintage look — both are correct. If you drop into Melbourne's Shisha Store we can show you how ours has aged on display.

How to set it up

• Assemble the stem components according to the model's layout.
• Seat the base gasket and connect the stem — the clamp-less base makes this tool-free.
• Attach the silicone hose via the 180° rotating connector.
• Pack your bowl, seat it on the head with foil or an HMD, light coals.
• Draw gently — VZ pipes are tuned for smooth traction, not aggressive pulls.
• Use the blowdown purge valve between draws to clear stale smoke from the base.

Cleaning & care

• Break the pipe down after every session for a proper clean.
• Rinse stem, tray, and mouthpiece with warm water and a hookah brush.
• For copper: apply a copper polish periodically to maintain the bright finish, or leave it to patina.
• Dry components fully before reassembling.
• Inspect grommets and gaskets periodically for wear.
• Store in the wood box or a dry spot.
