The Darkside D-Catcher is the small but very handy molasses catcher our Melbourne team installs on customer hookahs all the time. Aluminium body, silicone seal, magnetic quick-release — sits between the bowl and the stem and stops syrup running down into your base.

How to fit it

• Slot the D-Catcher onto your hookah's bowl port — the silicone seal grips on its own.
• Place your usual bowl grommet on top of the D-Catcher.
• Seat your packed bowl firmly on the grommet.
• Smoke as normal — runoff and leaf fragments collect in the 12 ml reservoir.
• After the session, separate the magnetic halves and rinse clean.

Care & cleaning

• Pull apart at the magnetic seam after every session.
• Rinse under warm water to clear syrup and leaf bits.
• A soft brush handles any sticky build-up inside the reservoir.
• Dry every part fully before reassembling and storing.

Common questions

Do I need a special grommet?

No — the silicone seal fits standard bowl ports without an extra grommet, and you use your normal bowl grommet on top.

Will it fit any hookah?

It fits the vast majority of modern hookahs we see in our Melbourne store. If your stem has an unusual bowl port, bring it in and we'll test the fit.
