How to Use It

Fill the glass base with water until the bottom of the downstem is submerged by approximately 2–3 cm. Attach the stem assembly, seat the silicone base grommet for a snug seal, and connect the hose to the hose port using the smaller silicone grommet. Place the clay bowl on top with the bowl grommet, pack your shisha, apply foil or a heat management device, and add your lit coals. Draw through the hose to begin your session. Use the purge valve to clear stale smoke by gently blowing into the hose.

Craft & Build Quality

The stem body is an aluminium and polymer composite with a polished gold-plated finish. Engraved geometric detailing runs across the stem's lower section, with diamond-cut facets adding visual texture. The Royale's centrepiece is a cylindrical filigree cage in a warm copper and rose-gold tone — distinctly different from the silver-tone pewter used on the animal figurines. The lattice features vertical bars with arched openings filled with curving scrollwork, a beaded horizontal band dividing the upper and lower decorative zones, and small circular perforations throughout. The overall aesthetic is Ottoman or Moorish — ornamental rather than figurative. The glass base is thick-walled with applied gold bands and laser-etched branding. The downstem is stainless steel — the one component here built to handle long-term use and regular cleaning.

Care & Maintenance

Rinse the glass base with warm water after every session. Clean the stainless steel downstem with a stem brush and warm soapy water. The washable hose can be rinsed by running water through it — hang to dry fully before storing. Wipe the gold-finished stem and tray with a soft dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or soaking, as this can damage the plated finish. The copper-tone filigree crown has detailed recesses and open lattice work — a soft-bristle brush or compressed air can help remove dust and residue from the scrollwork. Store in the included travel case to prevent knocks and scratches.

What bowl type fits the Basha Buzz Royale?

How is the Royale different from the other Basha Buzz models?

The Royale is the only variant without an animal figurine — instead it features a copper and rose-gold filigree crown with intricate lattice scrollwork. Will the copper finish tarnish over time?

The crown is a copper-tone plated finish, not raw copper, so it won't develop a green patina the way uncoated copper does. Wipe with a soft dry cloth after sessions and avoid moisture sitting in the filigree recesses. With basic care the finish will hold its warm tone.
