Kong Lava Bubble — handmade Russian ceramic Egyptian bowl, 18–25 g capacity
Build and features
- Fired at 1200°C — the dense ceramic body refuses to soak up flavour ghosts or stain.
- 18–25 g pack window — sized for genuine sessions, whether you're solo or sharing with one or two others.
- Five drainage holes — handles juice management without choking the airflow.
- HMD compatible — works with Kaloud Lotus, AOT Provost and similar devices, or runs on foil if you prefer.
- Hand-thrown by Kong in Russia — every bowl is individually made, no two identical.
How to use it
- Seat the bowl on your stem with a silicone grommet for a tight seal.
- Pack to just below the rim — fluff for blondes, a touch denser for dark leaf.
- Cover with foil and poke holes, or drop your HMD straight onto the lip.
- Add 2–3 fully-lit coconut coals and adjust heat as the session progresses.
Care & cleaning
- Always let the bowl cool naturally — never shock high-fired clay with cold water.
- Rinse with warm water and a soft brush to clear residue.
- Air-dry fully before storing.
- Because of the high firing temperature, ghosting is minimal — a warm rinse is enough between flavours.
