Fitting it
- Remove the purge valve cover on your KM stem
- Take out the old or rusty bearing
- Drop in the new 6 mm stainless bearing
- Replace the cover and check the purge by blowing gently into the hose
Care
- Rinse the bearing and purge area with warm water periodically
- Check around the valve seat for buildup that could stop the ball sealing
- Replace if the bearing gets stuck or shows corrosion

The original bearings on a lot of older KMs corrode over time and end up sticking or rusting in place. Stainless replacements solve that for good.
Will it fit my KM?
All standard Khalil Mamoon purge valves use the 6 mm fit. If you've got an older or unusual stem, bring it into our Melbourne store and our team will check.
How do I know mine needs replacing?
If your purge feels stale, restricted, or doesn't clear smoke crisply with one breath, the bearing is the first thing to check.
