Fit & Compatibility

Ships with a traditional Egyptian clay bowl sized for foil sessions. For HMD use, swap to a flat-lipped phunnel. Standard KM grommet fittings throughout, so most aftermarket bowls and silicone hoses drop straight in.

How to Use It

• Fill the base so the downstem sits about 2 cm below the waterline.
• Pack the bowl with shisha and seat foil (or your HMD).
• Bring your charcoal to a full glowing red before placing it on the bowl.
• Adjust coal placement through the session as the bowl evolves.

Care & Maintenance

• Stem: warm water rinse with a thin brush after each session.
• Base: warm soapy water with lemon or bicarb to clear ghosting.
• Chrome stem: dry soft cloth - chrome shows fingerprints faster than oxide or gold, so wipe down regularly.
• Replace grommets when they slacken. Store upright in a dry place.

Does the smaller stem mean a worse draw?

No - the airway diameter on the Balha Safari is the same as the larger KMs. The smoke path is shorter, which means slightly warmer smoke than an 80 cm KM, but the openness of the draw is identical.

How does the Silver Blue compare to the Gold and Oxide Safaris?

Same stem and airway across all three - purely a cosmetic choice. Silver Blue is polished chrome with a blue-silver base, the Gold has polished gold with a black-gold base, and the Oxide is darker bronze patina with a black-gold base.
