Fit and Compatibility

The Lapis II is manufactured to fit the Kaloud Lotus III for optimal performance, and is fully compatible with the Lotus I+3, Lotus I+, Lotus II, and most third-party HMDs. The integrated silicone grommet fits most standard hookah stems securely.

How to Use It

• Pack 15–20g of shisha loosely to the top of the centre spire. The Lapis II performs best with a slightly looser pack than the Kore bowls.
• Avoid overpacking — it restricts airflow and can burn the underside of your HMD.
• Place your Kaloud Lotus or preferred HMD on top. The silicone and HMD never touch directly.
• Add 2–3 natural coconut charcoal cubes (25 mm recommended) inside the HMD.
• Allow 3–5 minutes for the ceramic to reach temperature before your first draw.
• Ceramic holds heat exceptionally well, so you may need fewer coals than with glass or aluminium bowls.

Care and Maintenance

• Allow the bowl to cool completely before handling or cleaning.
• Rinse with warm water and gently scrub with a soft brush. You do not need to remove the ceramic core to clean the bowl.
• Avoid soap or abrasive cleaners to protect the ceramic finish and maintain optimal performance.
• Never place charcoal directly on the silicone housing.
• Handle with care — the silicone provides protection, but ceramic can crack from severe impact.
• Air dry thoroughly before storing.

The Lapis II uses ceramic while the Vitria III uses borosilicate glass. Ceramic retains heat longer and delivers more intense flavour, making the Lapis II better for extended sessions with light-leaf shisha. Glass delivers the cleanest, most transparent flavour with faster heat-up and thicker clouds. Choose Lapis II for flavour depth and session length; choose Vitria III for flavour purity and balanced cloud production.
