Fit & Compatibility

How To Use

1. Lift the top tray frame off and fill the plexiglass chamber with cold water — keep the level just above the diffuser, no higher. Lower the top frame back on.
2. Snap the magnetic hose into the connector port on the side of the body.
3. Set your draw — rotate the 4-position diffuser to find your preferred resistance.
4. Place your chosen bowl onto the silicone cone seat — the seal grips any standard bowl type.
5. Top with foil and coconut charcoal, or fit a heat management device on the tray.
6. Insert batteries into the LED housing, then press the remote to power on and dial in colour and brightness — the cityscape windows will pick up the light from inside.
7. Draw to start. Exhale gently into the mouthpiece to purge — smoke vents from beneath the tray in a cascading waterfall.

Care & Maintenance

• Plexiglass inner chamber: after each session, lift the top frame off, empty and rinse with warm water and a soft sponge only. Never use alcohol, abrasives or aggressive chemicals — contact will cause cracks and irreparable damage.
• Wipe the stainless steel shaft, bowl cone, tray and mesh with a damp cloth once cooled.
• The cityscape skin lifts off for cleaning — wipe with a soft damp cloth, dry before refitting. Don't soak.
• Remove the diffuser to rinse the screen separately.
• Keep the magnetic hose port dry and wipe away any sticky residue.
• LED housing and remote: keep dry, wipe externally only — never submerge.
• Store disassembled in the presentation box when not in regular use.

What does "Panelka" mean, and what's the design about?

"Panelka" is the Russian-language nickname for the prefabricated panel apartment blocks built across the Soviet Union from the 1950s onward — concrete tower buildings that became part of everyday city life from Moscow to Vladivostok. Alpha wraps that visual heritage around the Smart EXZO body, laser-etched in white outline on matte black — apartment-block silhouettes with cut-out windows that the LED chamber lights up from within. Quiet Russian urban texture rendered as design.

Is the Panelka skin removable?

Yes. The cityscape skin is a designer overlay that sits around the plexiglass chamber, with a foam-padded inner surface so it slips on and off without scratching the body. Slide it off to run the bare Smart EXZO body, slide it back on for the cityscape effect. Internally the engineering is identical to the standard EXZO (shaft, diffuser, magnetic port, LED).

How does the Panelka differ from the standard Smart Box EXZO?

Engineering is identical — same SMART shaft, same waterfall purge, same 4-position diffuser, same magnetic connector, same LED-illuminated plexiglass chamber. The differences are visual: Panelka has the cityscape skin and the engraved cityscape tray frame; the standard EXZO has the bare stainless shell with a graphic-line tray. Choose Panelka if you want the cultural-design layer; choose standard EXZO if you want minimalist tech.

Is the top frame removable for water filling?

Yes. The top tray frame lifts off vertically — that's how you fill the plexiglass chamber with water at the start of a session, and how you access it for cleaning afterwards. The coal mesh insert inside the frame can also be lifted out separately and used as a coal rest beside the hookah while you shape or rotate charcoal during the session.

How limited is this edition?

Genuinely limited. We bring the Panelka edition into Australia directly because we wanted it on this market. Production runs are at Alpha's discretion, not ours, and restock timing depends on what's available from the factory.

Does it include a bowl, charcoal or HMD?

No. The Panelka ships complete — cityscape skin, plexiglass chamber, shaft, LED, hose, mouthpiece, tray, diffuser and bowl seal — but the bowl and heat source are your choice. For spares, replacement hoses or compatible accessories, see our mouthpieces and hoses collection.
